OUR MISSION: fight the waste
National Highways works to eradicate litter on motorways and major A roads. We don't have the funding to clear every road in the UK, so we need your help with the rest. We've worked tirelessly with local organisations to implement our new FIGHT THE WASTE scheme and we are extremely proud that there is a bin linked to the videogame in every single town in the UK.
OUR GOALS

01
ENJOYMENT
We developed this game in collaboration with our friends at Creative Assembly for you to enjoy. We need your help with keeping our roads litter-free, so this is our gift to you.

02
IMPROVING ROADS
It's our hope that clearing up waste and helping animals in-game will encourage our players to do it in real life as well. We work to maintain the UK's roads and we're making it your mission to help us with this.

03
SAVING WILDLIFE
The UK's natural environment consists of over 70,000 species of animals, plants, fungi and organisms. You can make a difference to the home you share with them by eradicating litter.

"Seeing what litter actually does to animals in the game really changed how I see a lot of things. I remind my friends not to litter now, it's easy."
DANIEL, 16, TESTED THE BETA VERSION OF THE FIGHT THE WASTE VIDEOGAME BEFORE OUR LAUNCH. WE'VE BEEN PRIVILEGED TO WORK WITH TEENS ACROSS THE UK ON THIS PROJECT.
"It's been so nice for me to connect with some of the younger people in Ormskirk to talk about how they protect the environment. I have hope that this videogame will put us all on the same page about litter."
