Hope Street Community Cafe
I volunteered with Hope Street Cafe in Ormskirk for several months, helping those struggling with mental health who visited the cafe for support, while also creating social media and web content to promote the organisation.
Still image posts
I used Canva to design Instagram and Facebook posts that would encourage new customers to visit the cafe, as well as special posts to advertise events like LGBTQ+ history month and exclusive therapeutic sessions.
Leaflets
I used Canva to create flyers that I handed out to people shopping in town to advertise Hope Street, as well as leaflets about leaving a review for the Cafe that were left on tables for people to read.
Other contributions
I attended Cafe events regularly and took photos and videos which I shared on the Hope Street website and social media channels.
I also made significant changes to the website, adding in a schedule of regular events that customers could look at with corresponding information and images, as well as links to google forms which customers could leave reviews on.
